A delegation from Yugra State University took part in the Third Forum of Rectors of Russian and Vietnamese Universities, which opened on May 22 at the Hanoi University of Transport and Communications. The forum became a key event of the Year of Russian-Vietnamese Cooperation in Science and Education, declared by decision of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam in May 2025. The initiative of the leaders of the two countries is timed to coincide with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Vietnam.

The forum, organized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, and Lomonosov Moscow State University, brought together representatives from more than 100 Vietnamese and Russian universities.

The forum program included panel discussions on issues of implementing joint educational programs and academic mobility, cooperation in the fields of engineering education, information technology, information security, as well as linguistics and intercultural communication. On the sidelines of the forum, an exhibition was organized for Vietnamese schoolchildren and students, where Russian universities, including Yugra State University, presented their educational programs.
