Yugra State University celebrated a long-awaited event: the grand opening of the Yu-Dao Chinese Language Center. The event was a true celebration, bringing together students, faculty, and everyone interested in China's rich culture. The opening took place in a joyful and inspiring atmosphere, where spectators enjoyed vibrant songs, graceful dances, and engaging master classes on Chinese topics.

Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Tatyana Kostyleva welcomed the ceremony guests and noted the importance of the Center's creation: "We've been working toward this for a long time. I thank the Higher School of Humanities for supporting this initiative and participating in the Center's creation. I hope this center becomes a magnet for everyone interested in Chinese culture and the Chinese language."

The name "Yu-Dao" symbolizes a new path and harmony in life, as well as the pursuit of knowledge. This center will become an important link in educational and cultural cooperation between Russia and China.

Ekaterina Sateeva, the Center's director, spoke about the center's work and its history: "Yu-Dao is a path from Yugra to China. I was born in Yugra and was always amazed by our people, who strive for knowledge and discover new horizons. Fate brought me to Beijing for two years, where I studied Chinese language and culture. It was there that I realized the importance of developing Sinology in my home region, so that people could learn Chinese and become acquainted with its culture and history. This is how the idea for our Yu-Dao Center was born."

The Center's program includes research activities with in-depth study of Chinese language and culture, participation in conferences, conversation clubs for informal language practice, and cultural events introducing participants to Chinese traditions. International cooperation will be an important aspect; joint programs and projects are planned.

For those wishing to immerse themselves in Chinese culture, Chinese language courses will be offered, including beginner courses and preparation for international exams.

After the official part of the event, participants moved to interactive areas where they could participate in calligraphy workshops, paint Huadian (traditional Chinese flower-shaped decorative makeup), cut out paper patterns, and learn more about Chinese culture.

The opening of the Yu-Dao Center marked an important step in the development of Sinology in Yugra and opened new horizons for all those interested in the Chinese language and culture.
