Daria Melekhina, a PhD student at the School of Digital Technologies, has won a competitive selection for the award of a scholarship from the President of the Russian Federation for PhD students.
Under the supervision of Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Vladimir Evgenievich Fedorov, she is developing a functional-analytic framework for studying the well-posedness of direct and inverse problems for integro-differential equations in Banach spaces, including equations with Dzhrbashyan–Nersesyan fractional derivatives and Gerasimov-type operators. The research also focuses on applying the obtained results to the qualitative analysis of initial-boundary value problems for partial differential equations.
The findings of the study can be applied in physics, mechanics, and biology for modeling processes with memory.
